The Heathman is (Finally) OPEN !!!

Last Tuesday, on Oct 2nd, the much awaited opening of the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland took place.  The hotel does have availability (425-284-5800) and there is even a special rate at the moment for $249/nt and it goes on up to $3K for a suite.   The spa opened on Saturday.  When we drove by on Saturday night the restaurant, Trellis ,looked like it was pretty busy.  Anybody been?  Dying to hear your review.  We'll give you ours soon........j

My wife and I ate at Trellis Friday night. VERY good food - from the appetizers to the amazing desserts. Great wine list, too. Highly recommended!

Had a good experience last night myself. Everything from the starters to dessert was solid. Wine list was excellent as well. The service was pretty solid (they have a bunch of "kids," but they are attentive). I wish they had a wine sommelier, because our server was pretty much clueless when it came down to pairings. All in all, the restaurant has great decor, location, food, wine, and we will be back again.

My husband and I had a great dinner there a few days after it opened. The selection of loose leaf tea is amazing -- I picked the blend with hint of chocolate. Yum! Salad vegetables, fresh. Salmon with apples, tasty. (Fish was a touch overcooked, but they're probably still working out the details.) Servers friendly. Ice cream with hint of rosemary with chocolate sauce and dessert wine -- devine. We will be back as soon as possible. Can't wait to try more food there.

I had a drink (or two) at their bar last week. The bar tenders (Ryan 1 and Ryan 2) were very nice, but a little over the edge. Perhaps we looked like we wanted company? The drinks were good and the cheese/salumi plate was great.

Went in the other afternoon for a coffee drink and dessert with a friend. Really like the decor and the dessert (Profiterros) were awesome. Going there for lunch tomorrow...so more details soon!

My wife and I had an early Sunday dinner this past Sunday. We had the Baby Beet Salad, Grilled Flatbread, Heirloom Tomato Soup, and Pacific Seafood Soup - all wonderfully delicious and well-priced! Considering there weren't many people in the restaurant yet, the service was a bit slow, but the staff were all very cordial and attentive. All and all, we were impressed and will go back often.

Don't forget breakfast at Trellis - the fruit plate - wonderful! Granola homemade, etc...

Kids menu cute and food to their liking. (order a chocolate milk - how its served is so cute)

Anything can be made to your liking without complaints...Just try and stump the Chef.

Overall - a great experience in downtown Kirkland.
