All of you moms out there know the "Pick up Clean up" song I'm talking about  (sorry, it's going to be stuck in your head).  Now it's your turn!  Volunteers are needed to help take down all of the wreaths and garlands from the lightpoles in the downtown core, and what better way to do it than to make it an event?  I should have thought of this brilliant approach at my house as we were dragging our crispy tree out on the 26th. 

This Saturday, January 12th from 10am til noon bring your clippers and ladder (if you have one) and lend a hand with some of your Kirkland neighbors.  Rain or Shine. If you need more motivation than that, you should know that there's coffee/pastries in the morning and Zeek's Pizza in the afternoon for all the hungry workers.  Not sure about child labor laws, especially when it involves ladders and clippers, but I do know my kids will work for pizza.  If you're interested in helping, give Julie at the Kirkland Downtown Association a shout at: [email protected] . ~j
