Coffee &Cone Under New Ownership
October 18, 2020
Good news! Coffee & Cone is under new ownership that plans to stay open year-round. Yes, you read that correctly, ice cream and coffee 12-9 everyday, which seems pretty smart when we are heading towards some dark/rainy stay-at-home but I need ice cream because I'm lonely kind of days. Edward (ie: Eddie to friends, photo below, mask only off for 6 seconds) and his wife Michelle are the new owners of this location at 1 Lakeshore Plaza since August 3rd. Eddie was formerly in construction and is planning on a fresh coat of paint.
When I asked Eddie to tell me 'the scoop' (I'm really on my game today, right?), he said their fresh coffee beans come from Middle Fork Roasters out of Seattle. A 12 oz latte is $3.50 or $4 for a 16 oz. The ice cream is still the same Cascade Glacier brand out of OR that Coffee & Cone customers have always enjoyed. A generous kids scoop is $3.50 or $4.50 for regular heaping scoop. My favorite new addition is the walk-up window where a masked/gloved smiling person will fetch you a dreamy delight without having to step foot indoors. Grab your treat and then enjoy it in Marina Park just steps away. Starting in November there will be a new Polish Bakery pop-up offering paczkis and Euro pastries every Saturday. Don't forget this little hidden gem 'under the stair's at Lakeshore Plaza, our small businesses need us!
This makes my heart full of joy!! I'll definitely bring the family here for sure and hang out at the Marina... Thank you so much! xxx
