The two new places I was going to tell you about today both have 'initial' names. Very hipster! J McLaughlin and T Anthony featured today on K Weblog.   Let's start with T. Anthony Jewelers so you can be lucky enough to meet Tyler (Anthony) Sholdt and his wife Kellie (photo above, I let them take their masks off for a moment so you could see their real faces).  They just moved from their downtown Seattle location to Carillon Point 6 weeks ago.  The Sholdts have done a fabulous remodel in Armoire's old space (still online), so they can bring a personal and customized jewelry experience to their new and existing clients.  Check out the awesome wallpaper behind them in this photo. Tyler's family has been in the jewelry business since 1935, and he's spent the last 22 years growing organically through referrals.  His favorite part of his job is the connections he makes with his clients through designing custom pieces.  Kellie shares that he is a perfectionist and works relentlessly to make things that exceed customer expectations.  There's no big push to sell what's in the case, although there are lovely things in cases too, it's more about understanding someone's vision and making it a reality, whether it be an engagement, anniversary, special occasion or generational re-creation.  Kellie says, "It's affordable too.  Many clients say they didn't know they could have something like this."  They are not really retail and not online either, "we are proud to be old-school about the experience of buying fine jewelry," they say. And their Yelp reviews speak volumes too, not to mention some of these beautiful pieces.

Hours are M-F 10-6 and you can meet with Tyler by appointment. They are delighted by all of the warm welcomes they have received from Kirklanders (you all are awesome!) thus far and are excited to be part of our community. Pop in and say hello. They are so warm and welcoming and also have scotch and champagne on the ready. I know that'll get you moving! Also mention you read about them on the Kirkland Blog aka K Blog and you'll get a free T Anthony jewelry cleaner. WIN!

J. McLaughlin is now open at 129 Park Lane in the Essentials old space.  I know some East Coast gals that are excited about this one!  Everything in here feels classy and rich, my fingertips were delighted as they touched the corners of delicious fabrics on hangers.  It made me realize I need to stop wearing Athleta everyday and start dressing like a grown up.  You'll find lots of prints, plenty of leopard and fall colors too. They do 1:1 appointments for sessions where you can design your own personal style with one of their knowledgeable staff. You can even do this over Zoom!  Everything is machine washable and prices range from $148-398.  This store is their first in WA, but it is #158 in the country.  Tina and Megan are the managers, so you should go peruse their new collection and say hello.  There's even a small men's section. Hours are 11-5 everyday but Sunday is 10-6.
